Hurt Not the Earth

This homage explores the contrast of tiny landscape images - naturally occurring ”paintings” in Chinese Picture Rock - with the intricate patterning of actual leaves, one of the primary building blocks of the landscape.  The juxtaposition of the two in a windowed vignette fashion evokes a sense of being both a distant observer and an immersed participant, all in the same moment.

Each piece in this jewelry collection features bezel set Chinese Picture Rock cabochons in a sterling silver layered framework with 14kt gold accents.  Surfaces patterns, textures and finishes are varied to best play to the unique aspects of each individual stone. All findings are hand fabricated.  Retail price range: $325 - $650.  This is a limited one of a kind collection.
